IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 26 May 2009
Rockfield House in Drumconrath, County Meath, will be holding a two-day garden party over the bank holiday weekend on Sunday 31st May and Monday 1st June. The garden will be open to the public from 2pm to 8pm with a wine reception at 6pm on both days.
Mrs Georgina Nicholson of Rockfield House has very kindly agreed to donate all proceeds from the event to Elizabeth Finn Care, a grant giving charitythat helps individuals who are struggling to cope with financial hardship. Mrs Nicholson has been a volunteer for the charity in Ireland for over 20 years
The garden party will be the first fundraising event held in the Republic of Ireland for Elizabeth Finn Care and is open to the public for a cost of 10 Euro per person. The event forms the highlight of Elizabeth Finn Care’s ‘Big Tea Cosy’ event in Ireland; a month-long fundraising initiative that encourages people to organise tea parties for the charity.
Finbarr Fitzpatrick, Regional Co-ordinator for Ireland, said: “In the last two years, the number of people that Elizabeth Finn Care helps in Ireland has doubled. Since mid-2008, we are increasingly helping more people who are struggling financially due to redundancy.
“This will be the last year that Rockfield House will be open to the public so it’s a fantastic opportunity for people to come along to enjoy a wonderful garden party in beautiful surroundings. There is something for all of the family with stalls and entertainment for children”
