Leave a legacy - remember Elizabeth Finn Care in your will
Legacies are a vital source of income for Elizabeth Finn Care. By leaving a legacy to Elizabeth Finn Care, you will leave a long-term bequest to all those who benefit from our work.

Making a New Will

Everyone who has property or possessions should make a Will, and keep it up to date.

If you die without leaving a Will, the people who you want to benefit may get less than you intended, or nothing at all. If you have no relatives, your estate will automatically go to the Crown.

To ensure that your wishes are carried out, it is advisable to contact a solicitor. A simple Will can cost as little as £50.

For a complimentary copy of our booklet, "Planning Your Will", please call us on 020 8834 9200.

Leaving a Legacy

If you have children and immediate family, you will want to secure their futures first. Your solicitor will advise on how best to reduce your liability to inheritance tax and on the appointment of executors. If you decide to leave a legacy to Elizabeth Finn Care, it will be free of inheritance tax.

Your solicitor will help you with the correct wording and procedures.

Updating Your Will

If you have already made a Will, it is easy to change or make additions to it. Minor alterations, such as leaving a bequest or legacy to Elizabeth Finn Care, can be made by a Codicil, which is a formal addition to your Will.

Do not change your Will by crossing parts out or adding words, as this may invalidate it. If you want to change your Will, your solicitor will provide the necessary Codicil for you to sign, or simply download a PDF format of a Codicil form.

Donation in Lieu of Flowers

If you would prefer donations to Elizabeth Finn Care be made in your memory instead of flowers, you can include this instruction in your Will, or let your executors know.
